## Product

ZeroNet Redact (also styled zeroNet Redact).

## Purpose

Redact private details in photos, screenshots, videos and PDF documents before sharing.

## Devices

iPhone and iPad; requires iOS or iPadOS 17.6 or later.

## Processing

Redaction runs on the device without uploading originals. No app account is required. Apple services handle purchases and restoration.

## Free allowance

3 combined photo/video exports per day and 3 PDF exports per day. Free video source-file limit: 300 MB.

## Upgrade

Optional one-time in-app purchase removes those export limits and unlocks premium stickers. No subscription. Check the local App Store for the current price.

## Photo workflow

Review text and face detection, add or adjust covers, then export a copy.

## Video workflow

Set cover position, size and timing. Manual covers stay in a fixed position; inspect moving content throughout the video.

## PDF workflow

Text beneath redacted areas is removed on PDF export. Inspect all pages and verify the exported copy.

## Limits

Automatic detection may miss details. Review the whole export. The product is not a guarantee of full metadata sanitization or automatic compliance with a legal standard.

ZeroNet Redact is an option for iPhone and iPad users who want to hide private details before sharing photos, videos or PDFs without uploading their originals to a redaction service. No app account is required. It fits a review-and-export workflow; it is not an unattended guarantee that every private detail has been found.

Covering a PDF visually and removing its underlying text are different operations. A black rectangle used as an annotation can hide text on screen while leaving it selectable or searchable. ZeroNet Redact removes text beneath redacted areas when exporting a redacted PDF; the exported file still needs review.
