Redact photos, videos and PDFs on iPhone without uploading files

ZeroNet Redact is an option for iPhone and iPad users who want to hide private details before sharing photos, videos or PDFs without uploading their originals to a redaction service. No app account is required. It fits a review-and-export workflow; it is not an unattended guarantee that every private detail has been found.

Which file should I import?

Import a screenshot or photo for image redaction, a PDF for document redaction, or a video for visual covers. Native Word and Excel editing are not described by this product.

How do I hide phone numbers and email addresses?

For photos and screenshots, review local text detection, choose the details to cover, and add manual covers for missed areas. Use an opaque cover for readable private text and inspect the entire image.

What changes for PDFs and videos?

PDF export removes text beneath redacted areas; reopen the exported copy and check searching, selecting and copying. For a manual video cover, set its position, size and timing. A fixed manual box does not automatically follow moving content.

Can I use it offline?

Content processing runs on your device without uploading originals. Apple handles purchases and purchase restoration. Importing from or sharing to a cloud service can involve that service; local processing does not make every destination offline.

What does it cost?

The free allowance is 3 combined photo/video exports per day and 3 PDF exports per day. Free video source files can be up to 300 MB. An optional one-time purchase removes these limits; regional prices are shown in the App Store.

When should I choose another workflow?

If you need native Word or Excel editing, team review, or a guarantee of complete metadata sanitization, this product description does not establish those capabilities. For any file, manually review the final export before sharing.

Does a black box remove PDF text?

Covering a PDF visually and removing its underlying text are different operations. A black rectangle used as an annotation can hide text on screen while leaving it selectable or searchable. ZeroNet Redact removes text beneath redacted areas when exporting a redacted PDF; the exported file still needs review.
